J’ai beaucoup aimé ce livre pour plusieurs raisons. Tout d’abord, il retranscrit un podcast du même nom que le livre, et les différentes interventions sont toutes pertinentes, apportant des précisions sur le sujet principal du livre : Comment changer notre mode de vie et nos moyens de consommation dans un monde fini ?
L’intervention que j’ai préférée est celle de Dennis Meadows, car elle apporte des précisions sur la façon dont le rapport a été rédigé et montre qu’il est toujours autant d’actualité.
Ce livre est une passionnante enquête sur les limites planétaires, un demi-siècle après le « rapport Meadows ». Qu’en est-il aujourd’hui des différents scénarios d’effondrement annoncés ? J’ai beaucoup aimé ce livre et je le conseille à tout lecteur motivé. Il contient un grand nombre d’informations scientifiques sur le monde actuel mais reste cependant assez facile à lire. J’ai particulièrement apprécié le fait qu’il ait été rédigé sous forme de questions-réponses, notamment la première partie concernant Dennis Meadows, car il répond pour moi aux questions essentielles concernant le rapport Meadows et donc la compréhension de l’œuvre.
Ce livre est vraiment intéressant et agréable à lire. Tout d’abord, il est facile de le lire puisque les chapitres constituent un ensemble d’aspect sur les contraintes écologiques de notre ère sous la forme de question-réponse. Ainsi le lecteur peut lire l’ouvrage dans l’ordre de son choix et sélectionner les chapitres qui l’intéresse. Ensuite les textes sont assez faciles à comprendre avec des chiffres communicatifs, interpelant pour le lecteur. Les sujets abordés sont très parlant pour notre génération et traite la plupart des questions écologiques alarmantes de notre époque.
Ce livre est génial. Il est facile à lire, les parties et sous-parties nous permettent vraiment de savoir où nous en sommes dans notre lecture, le vocabulaire est toujours expliqué, il y a des chiffres qui illustrent très bien. Les références au rapport Meadows et les comparaisons effectuer entre celui-ci est aujourd’hui sont extrêmement intéressantes. On voit l’évolution de la planète, les limites déjà franchies… On comprend le monde dans lequel on vit et on se rend compte des catastrophes avec des chiffres souvent très choquants ! Livre génial à lire même pour se détendre !
C’est un rassemblement d’interviews tres interessants qui offre des analyses interessantes. Cependant, avec tous ces experts, il n’arrive pas a offrir des vrais solutions constructives. C’est une ouvrage catastrophiste.
J’ai vraiment trouvé ce livre très intéressant. Les échanges avec les chercheurs, très pédagogues, sont tous très instructifs. Je recommande vivement cet ouvrage très complet !

Cet ouvrage m’a vraiment intéressé car il permet de prendre véritablement conscience des problèmes écologiques de ces dernières années et qui sont encore présents aujourd’hui.
Cet ouvrage se veut simple et construit, permettant une bonne compréhension de sujets actuels qui touchent tout le monde.
Ce livre est très intéressant et aborde beaucoup de thématiques différentes avec des experts, ce qui permet une vision approfondie dans plusieurs domaines. On peut facilement choisir ce qui nous intrigue. Les questions posées par l’autrice sont très pertinentes et rendent l’ouvrage assez facile à lire. La majorité des chapitres se terminent sur le fait que c’est une catastophe, ce qui est assez désespérant mais peut offrir une prise de conscience sur certains points sous-estimés. Malgré cela, certaines rares réponses sont plutôt encourageantes et redonne un peu d’espoir. L’ensemble peut motiver à agir.
Ce livre est très pertinents, car il explore plusieurs facettes de la crise climatique que nous traversons en se basant en premier lieu sur le rapport Meadows, datant de 1972 et ici remis à l’actualité. La partie y étant consacrée est la plus intéressante et la plus complète, puis elle est suivie de plusieurs interviews avec des spécialistes sur divers aspects. J’ai cependant trouvé dommage que ces derniers n’exprime pas toujours de solutions concrètes aux problèmes qu’ils abordent, se contentant de peindre les contours d’un « meilleur futur » sans proposer une avancée précise.
« Dernières limites » reste tout de même un livre primordial pour comprendre les enjeux auxquels est soumise notre société actuelle.
